On his new album Red Light District, Ludacris -- one of the dirtiest rappers to hail from the Dirty South -- once again showcases his furious flow and bawdy sense of humor. But the 2 Fast 2 Furious star had to put his camera where his mouth is when he signed up to be a Playboy.com Celebrity Guest Photographer. Special Editions cover girl Krystal Tamburino was waiting for him in Playboy's photo studios, draped across a loveseat and showing off a beautiful body that demands any man's full attention.
The usually comical Atlanta-based rapper was ever so reserved as he strolled into our Chicago offices. Can you blame him for taking the gig seriously? After all, he's among the giants of hip-hop, including Lil Jon, Nelly and Ja Rule, to snap nudes for us. But Luda cracked a smile as soon as we introduced him to Krystal in her first outfit, a slinky vinyl minidress and sky-high stilettos. "Yeah, I'm used to being on the other side of the camera," he confessed as a photo assistant loaded him up with film. "But I think I'm gonna be good at this."
Lens in position, Luda was ready to roll. "All right, get comfortable. It's all about you, baby," he directed as Krystal got very comfortable on a couch carved from the back end of an antique car. When she requested a drink between takes, he boomed an order to the Playboy staff on set: "Get this woman a bottle of water!" Like any good photographer, he knew he had to keep his model well hydrated under all those hot lights.
